Turkey bliss

Happy Thanksgiving!! A very different day today for me. Dinner consisted of turkey, ham, and broccoli salad! I did also enjoy a slice of low carb cheesecake. It was fun to feel in control and never stuffed! I also ran this morning and feel great! Goals met again and I'm excited that I made it through a MAJOR food holiday! Now... I'm off to fight the crowds for great deals! Wish me luck!

  1. I also met my goals today. Ditto what Heather said--it feels great to have made it through a major food holiday. It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. I had turkey (which fortunately turned out very good this year), green beans and a delicious piece of low carb cheesecake. We still have the leftovers around, but I'll do okay.

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

  2. Great family day for me! I stuck to my plan and only had one bite of whatever I wanted. It was hard not to have more "one bites" tonight, but I'm going to bed feeling like I stayed in control. :0)

We enjoyed a family walk down by the river after our luncheon, I climbed on rocks and walked in the riverbed with no issues with my ankle. I think the 30lbs less and the weight training and volleyball have helped in that regard. It felt good to get out with the kids like I used to.

Way to go Heather & Kim...money is a great motivator!

  3. Good job ladies!
It was a great day. I enjoyed being with family. I didn't stuff myself either, so I felt great when the day was done.
    I'm grateful to have family.
I envited my ex-son-in-law over so he wouldn't be alone. I was sad for him.
Family is the most important blessing I have.
