End of September meeting

We had a nice meeting tonight--lots of items were discussed. First, welcome to Lisa Morales! Ilene won the September contest with 100% days goal met! Wow! If you weren't at the meeting, please get $10. to me. I really don't like to be a money collector. If you didn't pay in September, maybe you could contribute $5. to the fun fund for that month. We're up to $55. by the way. We decided we should each determine our own goals for the month of October and then post them on this blog. We'll be making the Palisades hike on Oct. 22nd. We decided to postpone the Harriman cross country/snow-shoeing trip to January. Lisa is organizing a group to go to Time Out for Women on Nov. 19 and 20th. Contact her if you're interested. Some of us are planning a "I finally made my goal!" trip to the Park City outlet mall on Feb. 21st. Let me know if you're interested in that. We are also planning to go to Boise to see Wicked on Saturday, May 14, 2pm. If we can get a group of 20 or more, we can get our tickets now. Those who are interested need to decide in the next week or so, and Cherie will make the reservation. 50% of the price is due about 2 weeks after the reservation with the remainder due by Dec. 31st. The tickets are about $147/85/65/55. Those may not be the exact amounts--but something like that. If you know of anyone else who is interested, please have them call Cherie.

Well, we sound like a busy crew, but really, these activities are taking place over a period of 8 months. I wish everyone a very successful and healthy October. Who cares that there's Halloween candy everywhere?

    Thank you to Kim for organizing the meeting tonight. You are a very good organizer, and you make things happen.
    It was fun to hear what everyone is doing to meet their ultimate health goals. Thanks for sharing.
    The meeting really helped me decide to get even more strict next month. Here are my goals:

    October:
    -Avoid all refined sugar
    -Whole wheat as much as possible
    -No gold fish crackers or full-fat chips
    -2 fruit or vegetable, and a good protein snacks a day
    -3 one hour cardio sessions/wk
    -2 one-half hour cardio then weightlifting sessions/wk
    -Drink 8 glasses water/day
    -Keep myself busy & feed myself spiritually daily
    -Aim high - lose 10 pounds!

  2. didn't met my goals today...my gym friend and I went to Reed's and got ice cream and drove around and talked....naughty naughty. But it was fun. I won't be around to post for the next 3 days, so if you don't hear from me that is why. Happy trails everyone and keep up the good work. My goals for October are Atkins and doing my workout 6 days a week. I plan to lose 10-12 lbs a month, oh yea I am winning the money in October! Fear me ladies! :)
