Skinny Rules

I've been trying to think of something to write about since we're no longer posting each day whether or not we met our goals.  Today I was reading a post by someone in one of my competitions who said he was having great success following Bob Harper's "Skinny Rules."  Well, I'm proud to say I resisted the temptation to immediately order the book (my goal is NO MORE DIET BOOKS EVER!), but I did order a copy from the library.  I'm #8 on the waiting list.  I went to Amazon to see what people had to say about it, and someone had posted the 20 rules!  Sooooo, I thought it would be interesting to write about each rule, see what everyone's experience has been with that rule, and try them out.  Rather than do all 20 at once, we can do one at a time and see if we agree with Bob.

Rule #1:  Drink 2 cups of water before each meal.  Drink enough water throughout the day to total 10 cups.

It seems like all diets tell you to drink a lot of water.  Do you think it really  makes a difference?  There have been times I've been super-diligent about getting all my water in, but for the past several months I haven't worried about it too much.  Today I've made sure I drank the 2 cups just before I ate.  I really did feel quite full at the end of the meal!  I still have 3 more cups of water to go, but I'm going to do it.

    I am going to try this. I think it will be interesting to try. Tomorrow I will drink 2 cups water before every meal. I have been making myself drink 6 cups before I can enjoy my soda!! But I'd like to add the 2 cups prior to meals.
