Just got home from the ward ski night...so fun! Aubrey and Chase took lessons and had a good time. I met my excersise goals but didn't eat great but not aweful either...but can't count it cuz it was not suppose to be a free day.

Blessed Friday

SOOO happy it's the weekend. I sure didn't meet my eating goals again...for the love somebody hit me over the head and knock some sence into me. I hate that about cheating one day...it makes me lose control for like 5 or 6 more. I had some good ol Mt Dew today and finshed off the cadbury eggs oh and thin mints and 5 guys burgers and fries with lots of fry sauce then Reed's waffle cone and a doughnut and a cinamon roll and a breakfast burrito from McDonalds this morning hmmm all in all about a good 5000 calories at least!! You would think I thought the world was ending and I would never taste food again. I felt like an out of control blob..most likely cuz I was. I can guarantee that tomorrow is going to be a goal met day.

Another early post

I am leaving town until Sunday and will be out of touch so another early post for me. I have had a good couple of days and this morning did a great class at the gym. So far so good and I will plan to keep up the good work. I am taking my new snowshoes to the cabin so plan on lots of shoeing around. I will check in Sunday. Can't wait to see how all of you have done. You are so strong and such fine examples to me. Thanks.

Early post

I got out of the habit of posting when I was gone so I am doing it early today. Congratulations on all of your successes. I am back on top of the exercise and doing better nutritionally, it feels good so why do we not do it all the time (I guess I should say why do I not do it all the time because the rest of you do). Are we meeting on the 2nd? It sounded like it worked for most people. 5:30 at Ilene's?

Tuesday is a marvelous Day

Hello HLC comrades!! I am happy to report that I met my goals today and feel really good about it. Chase is on the mend and back to being a total pickle, but oh how he brings joy into my life!! Life is grand for me right now and I am feeling very blessed and happy! Anyway glad to hear that everyone seems to be back at it and doing well. Thanks for your great examples and your friendship...you ladies are some of the finest I know, and I am blessed to know you!

is it monday??

Today I am not going to be able to meet my exercise goals but not because I don't want to. My little Chaser is very sick and so I have been home with him all day and tonight he has taken a turn for the worse and so I don't feel I can leave him to head to the gym. I will have to run my 2 miles another day. I did eat well today though so I am proud of that. I say we meet on the 2nd or something when everyone can meet, so just tell me when and I will be there. Hope everyone is having a good start to the week...it's the last one of the month so finish strong HLC!!!

Hello

I have been a drop out, sorry, I had a crazy week and everything went out the window. Tomorrow I will be starting over AGAIN. You ladies are so great hanging in there all the time. Hope you are seeing the success you deserve. I say we meet on the 2nd if the 31st and the 1st do not work. It is funnest when we are all there.

None of us wrote on Saturday--so here's the post for the 22nd!

I'm not sure what we should do about the meeting--From what I know, Annette, Elise, and I can't come on the 31st, but Lisa and Annette can't come on the 1st. Maybe it's better to just stick with the original plan (Monday the 31st), and whoever can come will be there?

I met my goals on Saturday: ate right, ran 5 miles, feeling great! I hope the day went well for all of you too.

Annette, you are also doing amazing and one little deviation is better then one HUGE deviation, which is generally where I find myself! Kim, good idea on the meal idea. LOVE LOVE LOVE that quote!! I need to read it everyday and take one step at a time and before I know it I will be there at the top!! We all will!!! Happy Tuesday Friends...how has everyone's day been?? Mine started at 5 AM with a good ol butt kicking workout at the gym. I really honestly love this training stuff..he pushes me harder then I have ever been pushed and it's amazing what the human body can do. I love it and love the opportunity to train with him and to experience new level's of pain!

I met my goals today and got my new eating plan from my trainer. It's basically body for life without a free day, and it's a bit more restrictive on the choices. I will be starting that tomorrow. It's a 12 week program so here's to getting me to my goal!! Hope you all enjoyed your day.

Gratitude

Heather started me thinking about her post yesterday feeling grateful for a body that works and does what we ask it too. Lately I thank the Lord every day for good health that allows me to accomplish whatever I want with my time. Love it. Even though we are all working to improve our bodies we must admire them for how great they function and all that we can do. Amazing. Ilene so good to have you back. Hope the next couple of weeks go well and way to go meeting your goals 100%. You may be the big winner this month.

My Packers are in

AJust enjoyed an awesome football game. I met my goals today and still hate to move...I ran 5 miles this morning and I now can hardly walk. My knees are bruised from doing lunges and I need a massage. How's that for complaints?? I'm grateful to have a body that I can abuse and feel the pain of hard work!

LEISURE LEARNING—CROSS COUNTRY SKIING
Course Objective: To learn the basics, plus some new techniques of cross country skiing.
Course Description: Learn the basics of cross country skiing. This will in-clude kick and glide, turning, proper way to fall and get up, snow plow, and so forth. Some new techniques will also be taught. Time after the class may be taken to practice what you have learned on your own. The tuition will cover the cost to ski at Harriman State Park but not the $5 parking fee.
2/5 Basics of cross country skiing, plus a little more.
NOTE: Transportation will be on your own to Harriman. A ski package (skis, boots, poles) may be rented at the BYU-Idaho Outdoor Resource Center: phone 496-7337. Explain it is for a Community Connections’ class—cost $8. Reserve ahead of time.

SICKO'S

I'm scared....I have a house full of sick people!

Our house won't close till Tuesday...SO I've got a little bit of a breather here-WOO HOO!

This morning at the health club I heard some ladies talking about getting back on track and trying again with weight loss and eating healthy...they were in their 70's. I thought to myself...do I really want to be 70 and still be saying and worrying about my weight and figure all the time like I do now! NO WAY JOSE!!! I wanna conquer it NOW!! I'm sick of always thinking about it! Part of me sometimes wants to give up and just wait for my amazing exalted body (if I make it) :0) BUT I can't stand how I feel in my own skin sometimes...I'm embarrassed and ashamed. Trust me I feel way better than I did a few weeks ago :0) Just some thoughts from today.

Idea

We keep talking about getting together and cross country skiing. How about we meet at Elise's house on Friday Jan 14th at 2:30 (Kim said she was off by 2:00). We could round up the needed pairs of skis by then and give it a try in the safety of our neighborhood park. Those of you that are experienced cross country skiers could teach those of us who are not and we could practice our mad skills. Then on February 5th (Saturday) we could go to a real trail. Let me know what you think and if these times work for you. It would be fun to learn together.

Love it

I love all the positive vibes from you wonderful women. Way to go all of you. Such strength to keep fulfilling your goals. Annette way to go with the skiing. Heather you will be amazingly strong with a trainer working with you. Your ice cream story is great, such self control. Kim, I love the comment about backtracking, we are all moving forward. Lisa such a good reminder to to enjoy the good moments in life, thanks. Let us know when the mission call comes. All of you I would love to go play in the snow. Let's plan it for the end of Jan or first part of Feb. Kim, do you have a Friday off soon? Maybe we could go up to the Kelly Canyon cross country trails just for an afternoon. I already met my exercise goals today, despite being stiff and sore from yesterday and I will meet nutrition goals also. Keep all these positive vibes going.

meeting day

Good meeting ladies. Everyone seems very motivated. I put Feb 21st and April 16th on my calendar so I can participate in the fun and games. I met my goals today for the 1st time in forever so I am proud. I may need to go to bed now so I am not tempted. If I were as motivated as some of you I would go to the gym instead, but it is too cold and I am too wimpy. Good luck. Thanks for the moral support.

1-2-11

I can hardly wait until the 11th so I can write 1-11-11 . . .November 11th will be even better!

Anyway, our meeting is tomorrow at Ilene's at 5:30 p.m. I'm excited to get going with healthy living again. Maybe I needed this week of unhealthy living to remind myself of how much better life all around is when I'm making good eating choices! I even noticed a decline in my running stamina after a week of pretty much unlimited sugar.

It wasn't too long ago that many of us were at a point that it would take over a year to reach our goal size. But it's exciting to think that every single one of us could reasonably reach our ultimate goal in 2011. It would be fun to come up with some big reward for ourselves (other than the $25,000 I plan to win from Body for Life :) ). Anyone have any ideas?
