Help

I had forgotten that at our last dinner together we were going to start blogging again.  Too bad that I forgot because maybe then I would have started doing well with the other stuff we decided to do also.  We agreed to $1 a day for each day that we did myfitness and stayed under calories.  Well I have been so out of control that I have not even tried to count.  I do not want to go there and when I don't I go to the fridge and the store, etc, etc.  So far I have not even earned one $.  What is up with that.  I am up 4 pounds since November 8th.  Help!!!

Rule #5 Eat 30 - 50 g fiber a day

Okay . . . back to the skinny rules!  I've kind of been following them somewhat.  It's hard to know what makes a difference for sure.  I'm guessing this is a pretty good rule, but when I first read it I thought, "I don't want to count my fiber too!"  I'm diligently counting calories.  I don't think myfitnesspal does fiber too.  Maybe it does--I should check.  Anyway, I'm wondering if I'm already getting enough fiber anyway with all the fruits and vegetables.  Have any of you ever tried to count your fiber?  I'd be curious to know how much you need to eat of grains, vegetables, or whatever to meet this requirement.

Heather, I know you had a break, but I'm sure you'll be back on track and going strong as usual!  Cherie is working hard in New York.  What a team!

Wednesday

I got the Skinny Rules CD from the library yesterday.  It's only one CD--must not be a very long book!  So, I'm going to start listening to it tomorrow as I drive to and from school and then I can give you more info.

How's everyone doing?  I'm seeing better progress since I started the Building Good Habits competition.  I'm pretty sure it's the lack of daily sugar that's helping!

Rule #4 Slash intake of refined flour and grains.

Well, I think this is a pretty obvious one.  I don't want to say that I never, ever eat white flour, but it's actually pretty rare.  He also says to eat brown over white rice (done).  I had oatmeal this morning!  So to me this is a pretty easy rule to follow, and I also don't think it's very controversial.  Thoughts?

I've been doing well the past little while on my goals.  In fact, I'm just 4 lbs away from opening up the clothes box for the next size down.  It's kind of like a ritual/reward.  I went to DI today and found some size 6 Banana Republic summer pants that still had the original tags on.  I bought them for next year.  How's that for positive thinking!

Rule #3 Eat lowfat protein at every meal.

I'm sure Heather already does this!  I'm not sure how much protein he means (I'll let you know when I read the book), but I know I eat at least some protein at every meal.  Maybe he means to be sure to include protein even with snacks.  The book on insulin resistance says to always eat some protein when eating any carbohydrates.  Or, maybe the emphasis should be on the low-fat.  Any thoughts?

Rule #2: Don't Drink Your Calories

So it sounds like all 2 of us agree that rule #1 is a good one.

The next rule has to do with drinks.  Bob says drinking your calories is a bad idea.  He's talking about alcohol (I think we've all got that one covered!), pop, store-bought juice . . . stuff like that.  I agree with him.  I used to have lemonade or other similar drinks all the time and was amazed when I found out they're usually about 100 calories per cup, and it doesn't take long to drink several cups.  I pretty much drink only water now, so this rule won't be hard to follow.

I'm sad to see the Upcoming Events column becoming so short!! Maybe we need to plan for 2013 so we have lots of activities to list!

Skinny Rules

I've been trying to think of something to write about since we're no longer posting each day whether or not we met our goals.  Today I was reading a post by someone in one of my competitions who said he was having great success following Bob Harper's "Skinny Rules."  Well, I'm proud to say I resisted the temptation to immediately order the book (my goal is NO MORE DIET BOOKS EVER!), but I did order a copy from the library.  I'm #8 on the waiting list.  I went to Amazon to see what people had to say about it, and someone had posted the 20 rules!  Sooooo, I thought it would be interesting to write about each rule, see what everyone's experience has been with that rule, and try them out.  Rather than do all 20 at once, we can do one at a time and see if we agree with Bob.

Rule #1:  Drink 2 cups of water before each meal.  Drink enough water throughout the day to total 10 cups.

It seems like all diets tell you to drink a lot of water.  Do you think it really  makes a difference?  There have been times I've been super-diligent about getting all my water in, but for the past several months I haven't worried about it too much.  Today I've made sure I drank the 2 cups just before I ate.  I really did feel quite full at the end of the meal!  I still have 3 more cups of water to go, but I'm going to do it.

A Tip

On the Skinny Minny Blog, someone recently posted a tip I'd like to share.  One of the participants said she tries to have a 12 hour break between dinner and breakfast the following morning.  She heard it might help her metabolism or something.  Well, I think it's worth a try--it certainly won't hurt!  So today I didn't have breakfast until 8 since I ate something at 7:30 last night.  Tonight we had dinner late, so I'll have to have a late breakfast again.  I can see that this will be easy as long as I'm not in school.  Once school starts, no more eating after 6 p.m.!!

This Week

I'm excited for Friday's hike!  Heather, Elise, and I also want to leave early Cherie, so no need to drive yourself.  I think we'll have too many for Kathy's vehicle, so Elise said she could drive her van.  I'll ask her to pick the Rosewood people up at my house.

I had a colonoscopy yesterday and thought for sure that would be a way to lose a lot of weight.  Well, I'm actually up 2 lbs!  I checked around on the internet and found out that you can actually gain weight (temporary) because of the salty solutions you drink and they put in you.  So, I plan to drink LOTS of water today to flush it all out.  I just don't want to show a weight gain on Friday's SMC weigh in--especially since I've been diligent about counting my calories, etc.

Weekend blews

I titled it weekend blews because I blew it (aren't I clever? or not so much?)  I did great up until Friday and then at a wedding and reception for two days (working in the kitchen) I ate all the deformed desserts that could not be put out for the guests (anything to help).  Oh well today I have been good and I will keep going tomorrow.  Kim, I am so proud of you.  Way to go in the triathlon and also on vacation.  You three (Kim, Heather and Lisa) are such an inspiration.  Way to go in the skinny mini club too.  I am good with changing our weigh in to Friday but sticking with Wednesday this week.  You guys are so great my motivational friends.  No more weddings for me for awhile. 

Yea for 2nd place!!

Congratulations to Kim... Second place in the half marathon! I've always thought you were awesome but now... :) I'm doing very well on my goals and feel really good. I'm in 3rd place in the skinny mini club... I'm going to get to first here soon!

I've been slacking on HLC posting. BUT I'm back. Time Flies When Your Being BAD!!

WOW!! I've been a bad girl...BAD stands for Binge All Day! I got on the scale and saw my results  :(  I'm an idiot :)

B  U  T  T ...I started the Skinny Minny Club today and feel extremely motivated and psyched about the whole competition thing...especially cuz there are ladies I don't know and for some reason I really want to beat them! :0) So, I'm back on the HLC blog, on the new SMC blog, and what I'm most thrilled about is to be back on MyFitnessPal...that is key for me I believe.

Day after the 4th

I hope everyone had a good day today!  It's always fun winding down from a holiday--especially a late night one.

I did pretty well today--trying to decide whether or not to throw away the last of the treats.  It's nice to remove temptation, but then, I'm not the only one that lives here!

Tomorrow starts the Skinny Minny Club (biggest loser) for some of us.  Cherie, you should be proud that you don't need to be a part of that group!  I hope you're all planning for a fun weekend.

The end of June--the beginning of July!

We had a great hike today--beautiful scenery, fun companionship . . .plus we each burned close to 2000 calories!!

A few things to decide--First, what to do with our money?? I gave Cherie $30. for her 3+% loss.  We decided no one needs to pay $10.  That leaves us $280.  One idea is to keep doing the percentage lost challenge and pay whoever earns it at the end of each month until the money runs out.  (At this rate, that could be a long time!  jk)  Or, we could go out to lunch and use the money to pay for everyone and then keep doing the challenge with the rest of the money.  Or, we could use the money for lunch and other activities until it runs out and forget about the weight loss rewards.  I'd vote to use the money to reward weight loss and to pay for our own lunches when we go out---but of course I totally support whatever the majority thinks. 

Speaking of lunch--we need to plan a date to ride our bikes and meet for lunch!  How does Wed, August 1st sound? (Is that when you're going to be gone, Heather?  Sorry, I can't keep everyone's plans straight!  If that's a bad day for you, could you suggest another?)

About the blog--what do you think?  Do you think it makes a difference checking in every day?  Can you think of anything else we can do to give the HLC a shot in the arm?  I feel like we're on the cusp of success--let's not quit now!

Summer is Here!

I hope you're all having an enjoyable summer!  I don't necessarily love being hot, but at least it finally feels like summer!

I found out just tonight that Greg's work has something Wed. afternoon that I'm supposed to go to.  I don't think I'll be home until about 6, and then I was planning to go to Pack Meeting at 6:30 to see Thomas get his Arrow of Light, so a Wed. meeting is out for me.  What do you think about Tues or Thurs?  Sorry this is such late notice.  Another possibility is to just meet over email.  I can pay whoever earned money and we can just decide how long we want to go this next time.  I think 4, 5 or 6 weeks is good.

I'm doing pretty well. No drastic weight loss, but I still have hope!!

Hikes

So excited about the new hike schedule.  The last one was such fun.  Good day today.  I love myfitnesspal it really makes me want to exercise and also to watch what I put in my mouth as I know I have to see the calories.  I stay under my calories but always go over on the fat.  Not sure what that means, I guess I need to rethink my food choices.  Good weather coming this week great for outdoor fun and games.

Hikes

Hey all.   Congratulations on the better report for our Wednesday chart and percentages.  By the 27th we will all be making some $ to buy new clothes.  I was checking my calendar and the blog and noticed that Union falls is scheduled for hiking before Devil's Staircase.  Not sure if that is a switch but I would suggest we trade the two so that we get one more warm up hike in before Union (an 18 miler) and also give the river water more chance to go down a bit before we cross is 6 times.  I suggest we hike Devil's on June 29th and Union on July 13th unless there was a reason to change it.  Let me know what you think.  Keep up the good work.

How to burn LOTS of calories

We had a great hike today to lower and upper Palisades. Not only was it fun, but we discovered that we burned around 3000 calories on that hike! Great scenery, great weather, great friends . . . an all around good day. Mark your calendars for our next hike to Union Falls on June 29th. I'm doing well--5th day of meeting my goals and also no sweets. It really makes a difference in how I feel! I'm glad everyone else is doing well too. One other thing I wanted to mention--I've been thinking lately about how I don't like my upper legs. Most of my excess weight seems to gather between my waist and knees. I was actually thinking about that on the hike when I ran (not literally) into a man who was hiking with an artificial leg. It made me very grateful that I have two legs that work well--even if they're not exactly the shape I'd like :) We're all very blessed to be so healthy and have all of our parts! (at least the important ones)

Help

I ran to Logan last night and came home this afternoon to hang out with my mom.  She is doing well just lonely and bored.  Too much time in the car and too many snackies.  I ate crap and now that is what I feel like.  I could not post on myfitness because I was embarrassed by the 4000 calorie intake.  I let the lack of weight loss last week get me down, dumb dumb.  Heather, we will do better tomorrow.  Way to go the rest of you.  Miss you Ilene.

Better

Still in shock about Ilene leaving us.  Come back anytime and please join for the bike rides.  I believe that today's root canal was on the right tooth and that it actually may have fixed the problem.  Yippee.  Between two root canals I was not running any races today but maybe tomorrow.  I still can't chew or eat cold or hot things but feel a big improvement.  Liking the fitnesspal thing.  Hope you find time to join us soon Heather.

Friday and Saturday

For some reason my computer wouldn't even open the blog last night, but it's working just fine today, so who knows?  Anyway, how's everyone doing?? I know Cherie's in Logan, Ilene may still be in Seattle, but I think the rest of us are around.

This new program is really working for me!  I hit a new low in my weight yesterday-yahoo.  Today Heather and I ran a 5K with Elise, Courtni, and Caprice.  We were saying we hoped to do it under 30 minutes, but I didn't think I'd really be able to do it!  Well, Heather did it in 26 minutes (I forgot the seconds), and I was 30 seconds under 30 minutes--exciting!

I learned a good lesson yesterday that I thought I'd pass along, and that is to keep a healthy snack in your car at all times.  I had a bunch of places to go after school yesterday, but I didn't think it would take me as long as it did.  By 6 o'clock I was quite hungry because I hadn't eaten since 11.  I had a bag of candy I had bought for the piano students, and  . . . .you know the rest of the story.  If I had had something in my car that was healthy, I really think I would have chosen that.  So I'm going to come up with some kind of emergency snack to keep in the glove compartment.

It's fun seeing everyone on MyFitness Pal!  It has really helped me.  The only thing I wonder about is when I put in that I did 90 minutes of "Gardening, general" it gave me over 400 calories!  I didn't work that hard.  Don't worry, I didn't eat those calories.

Changes!

When I published that last post, I saw this in the draft folder, so not all is lost.  

Here are the changes we made to our program.  We'll all weigh on Wednesday morning, May 16th.  Text the weight to Cherie, Kim, Lisa, and Heather. (Ilene, I know you're not here right now.  Join in when you come back!)  Weigh yourself each Wednesday morning and text the amount to everyone.  I'll put the new weight on the chart and send out everyone's percentages. (I just added this today :) ).  In 4 weeks we will meet again.    Each person will receive $10 for every percentage lost!  Whoever wants to will post everything they eat each day on MyFitnessPal.  Does that about cover it?

What happened???

Last night after our meeting I wrote a pretty long blog summarizing our new plan, and now I see it has disappeared!  Or maybe it never actually appeared.  I pushed Publish as I ran out the door--I guess it didn't work.  Oh well!

So far, so good.  This posting what I eat really makes me think twice about what I put in my mouth.  It will be interesting to see how this all works out, although I'm expecting great success from all of us!

Some New Ideas

Hi everyone-
I've been wondering if we want to make some changes to our reward/incentive system.  These are just thoughts-so no problem if you don't want to make any changes!!

Elise is in a Biggest Loser group, and they're doing some things we may be interested in.  For one thing, the "winner" is whoever loses the highest percentage of their weight in a given time. Right now we're keeping track of how many days we stick to our goal, but sometimes I wonder if that backfires. For example, when I mess up one time at the beginning of the month, I know someone else is going to make it 100% so then I just give up.  If we were judging by weight loss, there would be an incentive to do really well after a mess-up and possibly undo the damage.  Another thing they do is post what they eat daily on MyFitnessPal.  Elise feels like this helps because who wants to post that they ate 10 cookies?  People comment on it --like "good job." etc  I'm not sure if I want to do that, but I thought I'd throw it out!  They report their loss to the group each week, but then there's a final winner at the end.  This group she's in has about 30 people (it's national) and they each paid $30 so the big winner gets $700!  The 2nd and 3rd place get something too. I'm not suggesting we do it to that extreme--or maybe we don't even want to include money!  I've been trying to think of some other motivator, but I don't have any ideas on that at the moment!

I'm not sure what to say about the 100 day challenge!  We did learn that Ilene is a very nice person--she gave up $400.  You're the awesome one, Ilene.  Is it something anyone wants to do?  I know it worked well the first time for me, but then after that I think the novelty was lost.  One part of me says, "If you really want to lose weight, why wouldn't you commit to 100 days?"  But then another part says, "Do I really have to be so stringent with myself?"  I realize this isn't something we all have to do, but I am interested in what everyone else sees as the good and bad points of this idea.

I've also wondered if we should have some non-diet goals.  I'm thinking something like scripture study, service, cleaning the house . . .whatever you consider to be a challenge.  I know this could be personal, so maybe we wouldn't actually tell everyone what our goal is.  It could just be called the personal goal.  I don't know--maybe that's making things too complicated.  I just know for me, even though I do want to reach my weight goal REALLY BAD!!!, I feel like I often put too much thought and energy into it and maybe I need to be thinking about other issues.  But, maybe that's something we should just work on on our own.  What do you think?

I'm doing well--sticking to my goals (which aren't super strict!).  I'm gearing up, though, for 100 day challenge #3.  If we start on May 24, we'll finish on August 31st which I thought was kind of nice because it's the end of summer plus Labor Day weekend is right after that.  Who's in for this challenge?  I'm sure I'll do okay this time because I don't want to lose any more money!

Time on the treadmill early this morning, then a 12 mile bike ride and then a walk around the green belt (twice). Loved the beautiful weather. G M here hope your were too. I made the mistake today of wearing a skirt that was billowy and I flashed the parking lots of about every store in town, lots of errands and then a trip to the temple which is why the skirt. Not good planning on my part. I had a party at my house tonight for some neighbors that are moving and served food that would not tempt me to blow my goals. GM today. Good luck to Kim and Heather. Joining

OK. I need a kick in the behind to stop eating junk food. I want to join in the challange (I know it is almost over and I am late to the party). I think there are 35 or 36 days left so count me in. I have been doing great with exercise but horrible with nutrition so starting tomorrow, No junk food for me, counting weight watcher points and tracking food is the goal every day until May 21. Hope that is OK with those of you that have been faithful all along. What would I do without you guys? Count me in $35 would buy me a new pair of pants so I plan to keep my $ and be good.

2 Interesting articles

Someone sent me a link to a youtube which is a thing they showed on 60 Minutes called "Is Sugar Toxic?" It was very interesting, although I was surprised that they acted like this was shocking, revolutionary information! Everything the doctor says on there is stuff we HLC members already knew, but it is interesting to hear some of the evidence. We're just ahead of our time!

Another article I happened to come across had to do with how eating carotenoids can give your skin a natural tan! I'm interested in that because I try to avoid sun exposure, but I sure like the look of bronze skin! So this article said that people who ate at least 5 servings a day of these foods developed "a healthy, slightly darker glow." In a study when other people were shown pictures of people who ate the carotenoids compared with people who were tanned (I can't remember if it was a natural tan or fake), they chose the healthy eaters as the ones with more beautiful skin. If you're like me, you're probably wondering what foods we're talking about. Here are the top 10: sweet potatoes, kale, carrots, turnip greens, mustard greens, spinach, collards, dried herbs, butternut squash, and dark colored lettuce.

CRAZY DAYS!!

Wow my life has been crazy!! I'm coaching volleyball and playing three times a week, I've got 2 girls in Ballroom, one in track, one in softball, one playing in two different volleyball leagues...all I can say is....thank goodness my boy is on his mission!! :0) I guess life could be crazier!

Glorious Easter

Such a beautiful day for Easter celebrations. So fun to be able to be outside and not freeze. Goals met here, three days in a row (for me lately that is good). You all inspire me. Got to have dinner tonight with a dear friend, younger than I am, that has been in poor health for years. We HLC members are so blessed to be able to exercise and come and go as we please. My friend has not even been able to drive for the last year. Every day I express my gratitude for a healthy body and count it as one of my greatest blessings.

April fools....

Did anyone do any tricks??
I ran 11 miles this morning while listening to confrence and it was cold, windy and amazing!! I am so excited to run in the SLC half marathon and know Kim and I will do well, we are very well trained!
I met my goals!! Day 50 is DONE!! Only 50 more to go! I had hopes of being at my goal by the end of this 100 day challenge and I honestly think I will be there! It's amazing what happens with full compliance and perseverance!
I loved the talks and needed to hear some of them! I hope my friends of the HLC are well, I feel like I'm the lone ranger here lately, guess I need to get more of a life huh? :) happy trails my friends!

Ok... March is officially out the door!

I drove to Nevada today and back to pick up my children. I met my goals. I also lost another 2 lbs this week! I'm only 3 away from my original goal that I set 2 years ago!! Wow, exciting! I really want to lose about 10 to 15 more though. I'm glad that I'm finally losing again! I guess I needed to eat more, because since I started doing that I'm losing! I kinda like how that's working, eat more lose!!

Hunger Games Disaster!

OK...midnight premier with the word "Hunger" in the title did me in! I'm out of the 100 day challenge :( I totally caved to popcorn, mike & ikes, and twix! My tummy paid for it all night too, so it wasn't even worth it, as usual!

BUT, the movie was AWESOME! It did the book justice and I really enjoyed all the actors they chose for the parts...better than my imagination :0)

Met my goals today--

I've been getting ready for my trip and so I got my passport out and it was laying on the counter. I got it about 5 yrs and 50lbs ago plus my hair was several shades darker. Greg saw the picture and said (not trying to be funny even)--"If anyone really looks at this picture, they're not going to let you in. It doesn't look a thing like you!" That made me glad in some ways but also made me wonder if I should start dyeing my hair.

This Saturday Courtni Muir and I are putting together a "TOFW sold out and we missed it" get together. I met my goals today. I started a weight lifting program I did almost 2 years ago (ChaLean Extreme). I had a record of the weights I finished up with last time. For most of the exercises, the weights were too light! So, I guess I've gotten stronger which is always nice.

Three of my grandkids are sleeping over tonight. We watched a movie with popcorn and I had the big bowl. Yuck. Other than that it is all good. So good to see you at church today Ilene. One week down

One week of our challenge done! I successfully completed it and feel amazingly better. I made cauliflower Mexican rice for dinner and it was SO good. Loving these recipes. Hope everyone else has been at one with there goals. namaste!!!

Advice

My advice for Valentine's day. Never, never make sugar cookies. Not only did it bring about my lack of GM but it took forever. So not worth it. Better day today. Goals met. SO done with sugar and carbs!!!

For the love..... I'm so done eating crap! Tomorrow begins 100 days of new goals and no sugar and low carbs for this lady!! I'm actually looking forward to getting back to it, my body will thank me also! I'm actually giving up pop too!!! This will pose a harder challenge for me, but I'm confident a positive result from doing so! I wish us all a happy Sunday and day one of this next awesome 100 days that will see all of us shrinking and happier as we meet our challenges whatever they may be! Happy trails my friends!!

A New Century!!

Yipee...I made it into the next Century!! Now I can count decades :0)

Still drinkin' da' juice! Lost 7 so far. I feel amazing! It's shocking to me that I'm still alive and feel as well as I do and have the energy I have without chewing anything...crazy!

I sure am looking forward to a healthy balanced diet that I can chew after this! :0) I feel that this has been a great kick start to my new way of eating and has knocked me out of my plateau.

Hey, I will be writing a book here today

Hi. I am so excited to be able to read your posts. After a few hours on the phone with my computer wizard Monte McCall (he is great if you need computer help) I can now read your posts, YIPPEE. I have spent a lot of time this morning reading all your wonderful posts. So good and inspiring. Love you guys. I have missed all of you and am so glad that you are doing well. CONGRATULATIONS to all of you for reaching your goals for so many days. YOU ARE AMAZING. Now for the confession (can you see the big lip). I owe you $ 40. Not only could I not post but I fell off the wagon (actually I fell and then was dragged for miles in the mud or no I think it was chocolate). I just sucked it up (literally, but as hard as you suck in your tummy it does not make you weigh less) and got on the scale. Unbelievably I have stayed the same weight despite my worst efforts. My goal for the 40 days was to lose 5 pounds (how hard can it be) and then keep it off. I guess my new goal for the next month is to lose 5 pounds and keep it off (sounds familiar somehow). Unfortunately I will not be here for the HLC meeting on Tuesday. My daughter Suzi is 8 weeks from having her baby and has been having preterm labor for a week. She is now on bed rest (that will be so hard for her, as she has more energy than anyone I know). I am going to Logan tomorrow for a few days to tie her down. I will send my dirty $ along with a written confession and a vow (sealed with a kiss or written in blood, whichever you prefer) to do better between now and May whatever. Looking forward to celebrating on Feb 10th. So good to be back.

Tuesday and I'm already tired

Goals met for the 85th day in a row! I'm quite frustrated with the scale as it never seems to move... Week after week now nada! I guess I'm not moving up. I certainly feel good and running is really easy and overall I feel great so I guess that's where things are at with me. Why do we get so caught up on what the scale says?!? I'm letting it get me down, and it's silly! Chin up and feet forward right! :)

I'm off to play volleyball at 9 tonight...I missed it all last week! If any of ya'll want a fun FHE activity come on down and watch some good ball at Apple sometime on Monday nights :0)

Friday, friday!

I know Ilene used that title last week, but it's just one of those songs that gets stuck in your head!

I'm finished eating for the day plus I went to the gym already, so I can report that I met my goals today.

I recently read something I've thought a lot about . . .this author says that sometimes you have to think you're a certain way and then you become that way. Like with the weight loss, I know a lot of times I thought of myself as a person who couldn't stick to a diet for more than a few weeks, someone who was overweight, etc. Now I'm trying to say to myself (and anyone who will listen) that healthy eating is easy for me, I can easily avoid sweets, I love to exercise, I'm happy with my weight . . . stuff like that. Actually some (not all) of it is true, but I'm finding that when I say things like that it really is becoming true!

Most divine!!

I have found the MOST divine recipes! First is pancakes made of almonds, eggs, oil and WOW I can have something besides eggs every morning!! Second and most delish of all is cauliflower pizza!! The crust is cauliflower, egg and cheese with garlic! Amazing stuff! Very low carb and so yummy!! Both are very quick and easy to make!! If anyone wants to full recipe let me know.
I met my goals and FINALLY saw the scale move today! I feel amazing and SO strong! The repetitiveness of meeting goals everyday for 71 days really pays off! We all should commit to the next 100 day phase in February because I want everyone to know what this feels like!!

I'm back and glad to be home.

Lots of fun this weekend but too much driving. Drove my in-laws to St George Thursday, turned around and took the bus to SLC on Friday, went to Logan on Saturday and drove home last night to arrive at midnight. I met what I thought were my goals and gained a pound (WHATS UP WITH THAT). Glad to hear you are all doing well. Way to go you wonderful women. I am revamping goals and starting over, this week will be better.

New Year

Happy New Year. Everyone looked so good today, what beautiful women all of you are. Day 1 of the 40 day challenge or day 62 for our all stars. Feels good to be in control. I weighed this morning for the first time since about Thanksgiving. Not as bad as I thought but a ways to go. Keep control, keep control, keep control. I said that all day. The treadmill was my friend too, it was nice to visit him again.
